Arbin Instruments is a global leader in energy storage application testing systems, announcing the release of its new EVTS-X multi-mode tester. The powerful dual channel testing system features a revolutionary new architecture that allows for the widest range of testing options in the industry.

Built on the reliable EVTS series in Albin, the EVTS-X has been designed to provide greater flexibility and a wider range of operating specifications. Each Arbin system has completely independent test channels, and each channel supports multiple current ranges. Arbin is the first company to introduce channel parallel technology, which enables users to improve the current processing capability of the system. Channel parallelism is now a common feature of testing systems throughout the industry.

The enhanced functionality and flexibility of the EVTS-X system come from the addition of two new testing configuration options. The EVTS-X system now allows users to use series test channels, doubling the system's voltage processing capability. In addition, with the introduction of the discharge boost mode, Arbin has once again opened up a Xintiandi. The discharge boost configuration allows users to reverse the polarity of a channel, allowing for extreme negative voltage testing.

Albin has started shipping EVTS-X systems to customers around the world. These new systems can be tested with a system ranging from -400 to 800 volts and up to 600 amperes. The EVTS-X system has a place in Albin's extensive product line, which consists of standard custom designed systems for testing individual batteries, modules, and/or battery packs.
